Housing Stability Inclusion and Leadership Mini Grants

Up to $2,500 awarded on a rolling basis so long as funding is available

Housing Stability Inclusion and Leadership Mini Grants aim to support resident centered initiatives that promote inclusivity and build capacity for resident leadership across the MassHousing portfolio. The Housing Stability Department recognizes that communities may be at various stages along a continuum of resident engagement. These grants are intended to be a tool to support a range of resident centered practices and leadership models.

Housing Stability Food and Nutrition Access Funding Opportunity

Up to $10,000, due May 30, 2024, at 5 p.m., EST.

The Housing Stability Food and Nutrition Access funding opportunity is intended to support new and established programs that address food and nutrition insecurity amongst residents in MassHousing financed developments. This opportunity will fund community gardens and farmers markets in the interest of supporting sites to expand access to fresh produce and other healthy food options. The Housing Stability Department is dedicated to understanding more about food insecurity in our communities and how we can collectively address this challenge. Initiatives must be underway during the 2024 planting, growing, and harvest season which occurs between June and October 2024.

Applications and eligibility requirements are available on the MassHousing Rental Business Portal. Only MassHousing-financed properties have access to the portal and a password is required. Please email housingstabilitygrants@masshousing.com if you have questions about accessing the application.

Letter of Interest (LOI)

Letters of Interest are accepted on a rolling basis

This is not a request for proposals or notice of funding, but a solicitation of ideas and concepts to inform future Requests for Proposals. 

MassHousing is committed to supporting our business partners in cultivating well-rounded, thriving communities for residents. In this vein, MassHousing’s Housing Stability Department is requesting Letters of Interest (LOI) for ideas for pilot programs and initiatives that will benefit MassHousing sites and residents. Concepts may have potential to advance policy, form new partnerships and/or test promising practices to scale for greater impact. View the Letter of Interest template.
