If you have a Non-MassHousing Mortgage

If you are a homeowner whose mortgage is not serviced by MassHousing and have concerns about paying your loan, contact your loan servicer to discuss your circumstances and options.

Massachusetts Homeowner Assistance Fund (Mass HAF)

Mass HAF is no longer accepting applications. Mass HAF continues to process applications that were received before the application deadline.

Beginning on July 1, 2023, the state-funded Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) program will become available to low-income homeowners who are at risk of foreclosure. Eligible homeowners may apply for RAFT through the Emergency Housing Payment Assistance Portal.

Additional resources for homeowners who are behind on their mortgage are listed on the program website, massmortgagehelp.org.

Residents of MassHousing-Financed Rental Housing

If you live in a MassHousing-financed multifamily community, you should first contact your property manager. If you feel your concerns are not being addressed, please email MassHousing at rentalmgmt@masshousing.com. Be sure to include the name of your community in your email.
