Massachusetts Homeowner Assistance Fund (Mass HAF)

Are you behind by at least three months on your mortgage payments due to financial challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic? The Massachusetts Homeowner Assistance Fund may be able to help.

Here's what to do:

  1. Visit www.massmortgagehelp.org, the Commonwealth's official HAF website
  2. Complete the questionnaire to see if you are eligible
  3. Register on the site as a new user
  4. Complete an application. Some documentation will be required.
PLEASE NOTE: Mass HAF cannot help everyone. You must meet income, residency, and other eligibility criteria. Your next stop should be to check your eligibility.

If you are a MassHousing borrower with a MassHousing home mortgage loan and you’ve had difficulty making payments due to COVID-19, you must contact MassHousing to request a Mass HAF application. To request an application, call 888-843-6432, email to HAF@masshousing.com or log on to your account at www.masshousing.com/connect.
